These pieces were painted whilst listening to various different genres of music. The pieces demonstrate the power of music on the human condition. Music triggers emotions and memory which can put the human body in certain states. The pieces were painted in short time spans to explore and take advantage of these heightened emotional states.

Rococo

A collection inspired by the design movement of 18th century Europe - Rococo. A flamboyant style that made its way through the art and design world including fine art, interiors, furniture and architecture. It was primarily in response to the heavy Baroque era of design but didn't last too long.

The Story of Colour

A collection of roses each painted in a different colour. The pieces are inspired by the history of colour in society. Colour ignites primal instincts within us, we greatly connect to the world of colour. Each colour has its own journey through human history of how it was used, what it was called and how the meaning of colour changed across civilisations and time.
